Catherine is an experienced educator and music therapist with a lifelong passion for making learning and the arts accessible to everyone. She has worked since 1993 with children, adolescents and adults of all abilities and their families in schools, early childhood, community arts, special schools, early intervention, post-school options, community health, aged care, research and community settings as an inspirational teacher, therapist, advisor, writer, presenter and leader. Catherine’s career has taken her from Gippsland, to the Yarra Ranges, Melbourne, Darwin and now to beautiful Sunraysia. In 2012 she gained accreditation with AITSL as a nationally recognized Lead Teacher. In 2014 she was awarded the NT Government Secondary Teacher of the Year for the Darwin region. Catherine was excited to complete her Music Together teacher training in 2014 and to become the first licensed provider of the Music Together® program in regional Victoria. In 2016 Catherine gained her Certification 1 in Music Together in recognition of achievement in music teaching. Catherine combines her life in learning and the arts education with being Mum to two young daughters, step-mum to a mob of grown up kids, and Grandma Cath to three beautiful grandchildren.
